NWR RULES TO REPRESENT THE NWR TEAM
In order to
create fairness and openness, the NWR committee has defined the rules for
players to represent the NWR chess team.
It is
advisable to enter as many tournaments as possible so that a fair assessment can
be made as to a player’s strength. It is also required that players play as
many NWR tournaments as possible to enhance their chances.
Players
must play at least one of the following:
ü
ü Blairgowrie tournament
ü
ü Cliffview tournament
ü
ü Any tournament from another union, to
be played this year before the NWR team is chosen. In this instance, it is the
responsibility of the player to inform a member of the committee of the
tournament played, date, score, opponent and results of each game. (The
committee cannot know which tournaments players are participating unless they
are informed).
ü ü
NWR closed
The NWR trials compulsory.
Anyone
wishing to represent NWR that has not played in these tournaments must notify a
member of the committee in writing before that specific tournament ends.
